Guatemala has over 30 different micro climates; from the south coast’s heavy rainfall and rich volcanic soils to the highlands altitude and cool air.

A wide variety of nuts and fruits are grown in Guatemala, from classic tropical fruits such as banana, pineapple, mango and guava, to a wide assortment of berries such as blackberries, strawberries and blueberries.

Nuts such as cashew nuts, almonds and macadamia nuts are also produced in the country. Guatemala also has a rich tradition in artisanal candy making. Treats such as milk caramels known as "canillitas de leche", jellies and candied figs.

Chocolá is proud to work directly with farmers who produce coffee, macadamia /cashew nuts, and tropical fruits such as bananas and pineapples.

We also work with local artisans and have incorporated some traditional Guatemalan flavors into our product variety.
